January, the happiest month of the year.
Who spent New Year’s Eve alone?
The winter lunar cycle: legend, science, and advice.
If the moon makes you anxious.

With the arrival of the new year, the most important thing is to shift our attention away from the joyful and hectic month of December leading up to the holidays and focus on the pure, magical, and wise month of January. Let’s just forget about stress and turn our backs on apathy: the party only lasts one night, but we have 365 days ahead of us that we can turn into a celebration.

In 365 days, you can learn a foreign language, read 365 short books, do 365 push-ups, visit 365 cities or museums, plant 365 trees or meet 365 new people!
Yes, a tip for those who spent New Year’s Eve alone… You have 365 potential “loves of your life” ahead of you. All you have to do is meet one new person every day.

A lot depends on us and our mood. And let’s not forget that our “negative background” only hurts us…
From an astrological point of view, the first full moon of 2026, the Wolf Moon, gives us dazzling celestial motivation and significantly influences our mood. The “Wolf Moon” is what the Native Americans called it, believing that on this winter night, wild wolves gathered in packs and howled particularly loudly. There is a mystical version that wolves have a special connection with the moon and howl to summon its magical power, which is especially strong on such nights. We know that wolves do not howl out of nostalgia or hunger, and certainly not at the moon: they howl simply to communicate over long distances, signal their prey, or scare off strangers. But the history of the name Wolf Moon dates back centuries, when people associated the moon with wolves.The Finns call it the Bear Moon, because during this period their ancestors began hunting bears (driving them out of their dens).
In January, the icy, bright, and immense moon will find itself in a circle of six bright celestial objects of first magnitude. This event is called the Winter Circle.

Aldebaran (Taurus);
in the center — Betelgeuse (Orion);
Capella (Auriga);
Pollux (Gemini);
Procyon (Canis Minor);
Rigel (Orion);
Sirius (Canis Major).
Without special equipment, the Moon will appear full from January 1 to 5, 2026. In 2026, the January supermoon will not be alone: it will be accompanied by the largest and happiest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, which will reach its maximum visible size on January 10, and the 17th brightest star in the sky, Pollux, which is also easy to observe with binoculars.
It is also unusual that the year 2026 will offer no fewer than 13 full moons.
My personal advice to everyone during each full moon: devote this day to creativity… Even if it’s just modeling clay. The full moon “pours out what fills us all.”

Whether it’s colorful patterns or simply watercolor drips on a canvas, sing songs, do sit-ups, take a walk in the park just for the sake of walking, like when you were a child… or do a little renovating… Hammer nails into your resentment and build a new house there…

Excerpt from a Tibetan Buddhist prayer
“Enjoy happiness and the causes of happiness,
be free from suffering and the causes of suffering,
never be separated from great happiness, devoid of suffering, remain in a state of great indifference, free from all attachment and aversion.
Attain the omniscience of enlightenment,
defeat the enemy, negative emotions and illusion,
free yourself from the ocean of samsara, constantly agitated by the waves of birth, old age, sickness, and death.”

If the full moon worries and frightens you… Write a story or a tale… in your own words, even if there are mistakes, use characters from folklore and your childhood memories… And you will see how calm and comfort will appear on their own.

To conclude this article, I am publishing a message addressed to all readers of the site by our yoga teacher, Aurélie Tessari.
“I suggest you do a little introspection exercise:
“With love for yourself”
🎁Take a notebook and pen and write a letter. A letter to yourself!
A letter in which you write down everything you would like to change or achieve over the next 365 days.
A letter in which you write down the six fundamental values necessary for your well-being.
A letter in which you thank yourself for the journey you have already taken, thank yourself for your qualities and your potential that allow you to be yourself and to always move forward on your path.
The last important thing I would like to say to you✨: never doubt your energy, you have everything you need to live a life that makes you happy! You just need to accept your inner strength. With love🤍 Auri”
We gaze at the sky, study the craters on the moon, write stories and songs, go skiing, and do home renovations. Or maybe we just take a walk in the park, breathe in the fresh air, and…
watch the snow fall gently, making our journey 365 times sweeter and happier…
Happy New Year 2025 from Whisper of Flower!
