In my city tonight
The rustle of shadows and the song of the seagull.
Somewhere beyond the fog
Halloween bells are ringing.
This night always earlier arrives
A week or two early quit
A strange shadow on the wall just
Will surprise a cat and a child…
In the morning I dilute my sweet tea
With tears of cumin and honey
These are the days I loved
Dissipating sadness in yellow leaves.
Extinguish the days of resentment with fire,
Put a candle in the window in time.
Herbs, whispers, heather honey.
And the dreams of strangers in the flight of the night,.
And now, my love, quietly
I count the stars and sky shadows
Waiting for the grey frost to fall,
I rock the cradle fondly.
