Today is the NEW YEAR OF THE SUN! This holiday is officially recognized in many countries, as it is directly related to the Sun’s passage from the Pisces constellation to the Aries constellation.

That is why just today I am starting a new column “Zodiac in Bloom.”

So how does each zodiac sign bloom? Let’s first see which flowers correspond to the constellations, starting with Aries, the king of the solar new year:

Aries: tulip, narcissus.

Taurus: rose, lily.

Gemini: peony, iris.

Cancer: dahlia, hydrangea.

Leo: sunflower, hibiscus.

Virgo: alstromeria, camellia.

Libra: gladiolus, hydrangea.

Scorpio: gloriosa, black orchid.

Sagittarius: strelitzia, freesia.

Capricorn: calla lily, alstromeria.

Aquarius: buttercup, orchid.

Pisces: narcissus, peony.

So, if you simply want to give yourself or a loved one a gift, choose a beautiful bouquet of flowers based on the Zodiac chart in bloom or choose a perfume with floral notes of the zodiac sign you are interested in. The timing for a head is most favorable. Let’s see where New Year’s Day is celebrated on this day!

New Year is celebrated on April 13 in Thailand, where it is called Songkran Festiva “transition,” “movement.” Songkran was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity last December following the 18th session of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Botswana.

New Year is also celebrated today in other Southeast Asian countries. For example, in Laos this holiday is called Bun Pimai Lao, in Myanmar – Tinjan, and in Cambodia – Chaul Cham Thmey.

Hindus believe that several thousand years ago on this day the goddess Ganga descended to earth, so on the eve many of them gather on the banks of the sacred river Ganga.
