Today we cross the Ligurian coast of Italy and the Cote d’Azur of France to get to the beautiful city of Toulon, where we are met by the famous stylist and hairdresser Natalia Musatova.
Have you ever wondered why, in the presence of a stranger, you sometimes instantly feel yourself in such a capsule of comfort?
Enveloping tranquility and the feeling we have been striving for since our school years: “happiness is when you are understood”. This is the state that Natalia Musatova’s salon evokes in everyone.
The very definition of “capsule of comfort” or “capsule of happiness” appeared in my mind at that very moment, and when Natalia took an experienced and quick look at my hair…Literally three seconds.
I’ll make us coffee, – Natalia’s voice is hypnotic – I drink only Italian coffee from an Italian coffee machine. We specially go with my family to Sanremo to get it.
We drink fragrant coffee, and Natalia is already silently and almost imperceptibly working on my head, and I know for sure that I will finally get back my appearance, ungracefully spoiled by Italian masters.
-Natalia, tell me, how do you manage to understand so quickly what a client or a customer needs? You are also a certified psychologist, right?
Natalia smiles and, continuing to work on my appearance, begins her story in her extraordinary, literally therapeutic voice:
When I was working in Paris, I hardly spoke French, but I understood immediately what the client wanted..
Everyone left me satisfied and happy, although I operated with just a few words: “bonjour e merci”, “ça va”.
I started to study psychology earlier, for personnel management, I managed two beauty salons and it turned out to be simply necessary. I started to study this matter by necessity, but very quickly realised that it is almost impossible to see the true beauty of a person, to create an energetically correct style without relying on psychology…. And the ecology of thought is also very important.
-Ecological thought?
-Absolutely,’ says Natalia, looking away from her client for a moment and explaining in the same calm, hypnotic voice:
‘In my courses on the ecology of thought, we first of all listen to what the participants say and how they say it. A simple example about Paris, since we met in France: instead of ‘see Paris and die’, we say ‘see Paris and be happy’. Instead of “incurable illness” we say “specific illness, health problem”.

-So instead of “my hair has been ruined by Italian hairdressers” I say “my hair has a specific problem”, I clarify.
Natalia laughs:
-You can say that. And instead of ‘he is a lost man’ – ‘he is temporarily unavailable’ A slight irony is appropriate. There are no incurable diseases, hair and appearance can always be changed. Ecology of thought helps us achieve a harmonious future and a good state of mind and body. I remember during one of the competitions, I was sure I would not get the prize… I was so in tune with the ‘expert hairdressers’. When I heard the judges’ negotiations and my name in the distance, I told a young boy who was my model: everyone… scolded me, I definitely won’t win.
-And what place did you take?
-Second place,’ smiles Natalia. ‘There were many compliments from the judges. I was very close to victory, but I really planned for second place’.
Natalia goes back to conjuring up another customer’s hair and I literally feel a new light around me and an unusual burst of energy. Perhaps this ecological approach to our thoughts calms us down and harmonises the whole space around us, and it certainly also attracts a good attitude and bright people. Similar to similar.
It is very difficult to get a date with Natalia. Not only because of her many awards in the field of hairdressing, but also because of her opening psychology courses and her ability to work on appearance… to improve the mood.
Good luck and beautiful curls!
Your writing has a way of resonating with me on a deep level. It’s clear that you put a lot of thought and effort into each piece, and it certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.
